Hargan Albreksson grew up as a street rough, robbing people, and sneaking into restricted places. One night, when he snuck into an old crypt several miles from Tyr, he discovered a leather-bound tome. Upon examining it, he decided to peruse the tome before selling it. He discovered it was a grimoire of shadow magic. Interested by the sheer usefulness of such powers in his 'profession,' he became a very thorough student of the teachings of the ancient Night Stalkers Guild's ways and methods. Following the completion of his study of the tome, he burned it, and began selling himself out as an assassin in various towns and cities around Athas, going where the coin flowed thickest. [ooc]This will be my primary character. Trianna is my back-up character.

"Sorry, but this iPlay4e item doesn't exist, or you aren't authorized to view it."
That is the message I get from the link. Other than that, great! Hargan will be in the campaign.

That should fix the link.

So for your languages. I noticed that he knows thri-kreen. As stated in the house rules, if you know two languages you are illiterate (unless intelligence score is over 18). If you drop the thri-kreen you can be literate in the common language, which would only make sense seeing as your character learned his magic abilities from a tome.

I had not seen the edit to the rules which pertained to that factor. And what of the linguist feat? That feat bestows the ability to speak, read, and write.

I will allow it, as long as you can tell me who taught you to be a linguist.

I'm not taking it yet. I'll do it in-game. Just wanted to know, for clarification.
