My name is John, I'm 42, living in San Antonio, TX, married with a 3 year old son. I have not been very active in D&D since AD&D 2.0 (oldschool!). Some friends tried to get me into D&D 3E however it was a tad bit much on the role-playing that I just couldn't get into it. (Merchant haggling role-playing FTL.) But the bug never left and with 4E release and now news of impending D&DNext, I'm definitely wanting to start my own campaign. I was typically the DM in the AD&D days and am wanting to eventually start my own PBP game once I get the hang of things. It is used, but my Obsidian Portal profile is www.obsidianportal.com/profile/macarser/. One day Dragonberth will see the sun!

Nice to meet you, John. I go by Hiroma Moliuvia most of the time, I'm 20, I live in Columbus, Ohio, and I am presently engaged to a lovely young woman. We just passed our 3rd Anniversary (yes, we're one of those weird couples. =D)
I only picked up D&D about 4-5 years ago, and I spent all of High School DMing (I DM'd before I played. XD) I started with 3E, then 3.5, then 4E. I also play Shadowrun, Pathfinder, and a few other things.
As I mentioned via PM, I think it would be best if you wait till we have a few more people, or we're all more active, to start another campaign. Once it gets started, you can definitely count me into your campaign.
I look forward to seeing you around the site, John!

Welcome John Congrats on the successful marriage and three year old son. My condolences for the Texas part, however (kidding.) AD&D.. Is it true what my friend says that if you own more books than the other players you are by default the better player? ~LitheOhm

Naturally that's true. Why do you think you can find 1,000+ book Torrents of RPG books? Insta-nerd!

Haha. As I typed it, I realized it's still true in 3.5 to some extent. I've been playing a spellcaster more than any other class for years, and my friend who favors rogues and hates casters showed me up with the ultimate magus out of Complete Mage. Goes to show.
